The Human Rights
Defender, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the
Republic of Bulgaria, has released an awareness-raising video on the final
settlement procedure with the employee.
The most common
complaints addressed to the Human Rights Defender of Armenia on labor relations
during 2020 are about not making or completing the final settlement with
employee in case of the termination of an employment contract. The Human Rights
Defender regularly addresses this issue in its annual reports concluding their
activities.
The Human Rights Defender
reaffirms their position that making a final settlement with the employee is
the duty of the employer, and not their right. Moreover, the possibility of agreeing
on another settlement procedure with the consent of the employer and the
employee does not refer to the discretion of the parties to make the final
settlement or not, but to certain details of the procedure, such as the
deadline.

supermarkets have been studied by the Office of the Human Rights Defender, and,
according to my competence, I will send it to the Health and Labor Inspection
body of Armenia for them to conducted studies on labor rights, or to obtain
information from the Inspection Body if such a study has already been conducted
before.
