The Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan was hosted on
FreeNews TV’s program “Open Talk with Artur Kirakosyan”.
During the conversation, the following topics were
discussed:
- the recent cases that have received public attention, the
initiation of a criminal proceedings on incitement to hatred, and the functions
of the Human Rights Defender within this framework,
- the visits by the Defender and the Defender's Office to
places of deprivation of liberty and the protection of the rights of persons in
“closed institutions”,
- the practice of not transporting persons deprived of their
liberty to court hearings,
- the spread of hate speech and the atmosphere of
intolerance,
- the targeting of the Defender and Defender's Office, as
well as the targeting of individuals for dissent, among other issues.
