A demilitarized security zone should be established in Syunik
region to guarantee the rights of the residents.
At this press conference I presented the new concept of the RA
Human Rights Defender with concrete evidence, and facts upon which this new
approach is based.
The international community has a great deal to do in this
regard, because the border demarcation process both in Syunik and Gegharkunik
fundamentally contradict everything that has been created at the international
level over the years, disregarding the conventions, the guidelines, the human
rights requirements, and the directives in that regard.
The rationale for this new approach is currently being finalized
for submission to relevant international bodies.
