Institute for Human Rights is crucial for us because we see the Human Rights
Defender as a catalyst for evaluating the reforms that we are making.
We consider it as a
counterbalance of even our best, the most virtuous initiation, in terms of
assessing democratic goals, and I am convinced that RA Human Rights Defender’s
Institution, the RA Human Rights Defender plays such a role. The RA Government
and the ruling political party in Armenia will do its outmost to create all the
conditions for the work of the Human Rights Defender as one of the most
important human rights institutions of democracy, legality, and human rights
protection.
