Children
should be aware of their rights, as well as the mechanisms for their
protection.
On November 19, International Day for the Protection of Children
from Violence, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan was hosted by the Public Television “Aravot Luso” program.
The
Defender presented:
• the
high number of cases of violence against children in Armenia
• the
most common forms of violence and their underlying causes
• the
main results of monitoring carried out in schools and institutions working with
children
• the
level of cooperation with state and professional bodies
•
awareness-raising programs implemented for children, parents, and teachers.
