On April 11 and 12, the Human Rights Defender Anahit
Manasyan along with the representatives of her staff had meetings with
residents and administrative heads of Movses, Nerkin Karmiraghbyur, Berkaber,
Voskepar, Voskevan, Kirants settlements in Tavush region.
The latter expressed their concerns to the Defender that
the presence of the Azerbaijani military in the immediate vicinity of the
villages of RA will endanger their lives and safety, physical and mental
integrity, the right to education, they will be deprived of the opportunity to
engage in cattle breeding as a source of income for their families, as well as
to use the pastures. In addition, border residents presented a number of issues
related to threats to their property, education and other basic rights.
