On
October 20, when 61 Armenian servicemen went to Kovsakan from Kapan, shootings
took place as a result of which some Armenian servicemen were killed, some were
saved, while others were captured or subjected to forced disappearance. It
becomes evident from the facts that atrocities were committed against both the
Armenian servicemen who were still alive and those who were killed. There are pictures
which depict servicemen of the Azerbaijani State Border Service cutting off the
ears of the dead Armenian servicemen.
The
facts confirm that these atrocities were committed by the servicemen of the
Azerbaijani State Border Service. One of the evidences is the fact that in
Kovsakan, the bodies of the killed Armenian servicemen were tied to a Turkish
made Otokar APV belonging to the State Border Service of Azerbaijan and were
dragged along the road.
It is
noteworthy that the same servicemen of the State Broder Service of Azerbaijan
are now positioned on the roads between the communities of Syunik province of
Armenia. Moreover, we have reliable information about the fact that servicemen
of the Azerbaijani armed forces, including those of the special forces, are
changing their uniforms and are being positioned as border guard troops.
