The Human Rights Defender’s Office underlines the importance of the democratic oversight of the security sector as a prerequisite for effective and accountable governance, and pursues the monitoring of the situation of human rights protection in this sector. This video was produced with the support of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and presents the basic concepts of the notion of democratic oversight.
