On
June 25 the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan organized a discussion on the
role of educational institutions in the fight against hate speech. The purpose
of the event was to discuss with the representatives of higher education
institutions the standards regulating hate speech, the role of educational
institutions in the fight against hate speech, and the next steps of
introducing internal mechanisms to counter hate speech in educational
institutions.
The
discussion is part of the European Union and the Council of Europe's
"Partnership for Good Governance" joint project, co-financed by the
European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of
Europe within the framework of the Promoting equality and non-discrimination in
Armenia.
