The
Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan spoke at "CivilNet" about the
clash between the participants of the protest of June 12 in Yerevan and the
police, and the work carried out by the Defender's Office in this regard.
The
Defender emphasized once again that during the assemblies, cases of
disproportionate use of force by the police were recorded, which is
unacceptable.
The
importance of guaranteeing unimpeded professional activities of mass media
representatives and the issues recorded in that context were also emphasized.
Within
the framework of the program, inter alia, the protection of the rights of
forcibly displaced persons, as well as the targeting of the Human Rights
Defender, including the threats, were also addressed.
