Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan, after
the Government session, answered journalists' questions
A
number of important issues were referred, which, inter alia, relate to:
▪️ issues
related to hunger strikes by persons deprived of their liberty, the state's
obligations in this field,
▪️ the
methodology of visits to places of deprivation of liberty,
▪️ existing
problems in the field of legal liability for violations of the limits of
detention and freedom of speech as well as issues of discretionary justice,
▪️ problems
related to ensuring journalists’ rights.
