On November 29, the Human Rights Defender received a delegation of the President of the Council of Europe Conference of International Non-Governmental Organizations Anna Rurka.
The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan emphasized the important role of the organization led by A. Rurka in the development of civil society in the Council of Europe.
The Defender reflected upon the state of the human rights protection, the activities of the Defender and its working directions, cooperation with the state of local self-governing body, as well as NGOs, as well as non-governmental organizations and civil society.
Arman Tatoyan highlighted the role of civil society in the field of human right in terms of providing recommendations, protecting human rights and promoting democracy.
In her turn, the President of the Council of Europe Conference of International Non-Governmental Organizations emphasized the importance of effective cooperation between the Human Rights Defender and the civil society in terms of increasing their role and capacity building.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to enhance the cooperation.
