The
Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan and the
Governor of Gegharkunik Region Gnel Sanosyan met with the residents of Gavar
city whose issues are being resolved as a result of the cooperation between the
two institutions.
In
particular, the damage caused by the wind to the roof of No 9 apartment building
located on Kabelagortsneri Street in Gavar is being renovated.
The
Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, in his interviews with the residents
highlighted that the work carried out in the region is an example of successful
cooperation.
After receiving an application from residents, the Human Rights
Defender and the Governor of Gegharkunik region worked together in addressing
the issue.
The Governor of Gegharkunik
informed that the beginning of the renovation activities of the mentioned
building’s roof is
conditioned by the fact that the issue goes through certain procedures before starting, which
takes time.
The Human Rights Defender also
visited No 6 Kindergarten in Gavar and met with the residents who had applied
to the Defender’s Office for reopening of the kindergarten.
The Governor informed that the
first phase of the kindergarten renovation was carried out by the project aimed at addressing urgent issues
that had been approved by the Government.
By the funds provided, three of the buildings roofs were
repaired, one of the buildings received full and the others received partial
window installment.
An agreement was reached to work jointly for quick reopening of
the kindergarten.
