Today, on 10 April, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received Arja Makkonen, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Armenia.
Issues related to human rights protection in Armenia and to the detention conditions of persons in penitentiary institutions have been discussed during the meeting.
It was touched upon the monitoring of access to water and sanitation in pre-school, as well as general education and child care institutions, implemented by the Defender's Office with the support of Finland.
The process of implementation of the project and further actions were discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand the scope of cooperation.
