On
January 30, at the initiative of Human Rights Defender of the Republic of
Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan, a meeting-discussion was held at the Human Rights
Defender’s Office with Ms. Hasmik Yengoyan, Lecturer at the Chair of
Constitutional Law of Yerevan State University, PhD in Law, Associate
Professor.
Welcoming
the participants, Ms. Anahit Manasyan expressed her gratitude to Hasmik
Yengoyan for her readiness to join the initiative. “We attach great importance
to the development of the capacities of our staff and regularly organize
activities aimed at professional training and discussions on various human
rights–related issues. As a result of the joint discussion, a decision was made
to address the issues related to the RA Law “On Procurement” and sectoral legal
regulations that are related to the field of human rights. I am confident that
discussions with specialists with extensive practical experience in the field
are essential from the point of view of addressing the problems with the right
logic,” said Ms. Anahit Manasyan, while emphasizing the importance of further
cooperation.
During
the meeting, a number of other issues related to the RA Law “On Procurement”
and sectoral legal regulations, in particular their constitutionality, were
discussed.
