On
January 29, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan received Mr. Vicken Euljekjian and Ms. Linda Euljekjian.
Welcoming
the guests, the Defender noted that issues related to their rights have been
under her direct attention from the very first day and have been continuously
addressed to both international and domestic competent authorities.
Ms.
Linda Euljekjian expressed her gratitude to the Human Rights Defender for
keeping their problems consistently in focus throughout the entire period. Ms.
Linda Euljekjian also pointed out the Defender’s efforts to ensure their access
to social assistance and for the necessary support provided.
During
the meeting, a number of issues related to the human rights protection were
raised. Ms. Anahit Manasyan emphasized that the risen problems will also become
the subject of examination by the Human Rights Defender's Office and will be
addressed according to jurisdiction.
