Shirak
sub-division of the Human Rights Defender's Office hosted students from
"Gyumri Basic School No. 25" and "Gyumri Secondary School No.
27" SNCOs.
The
visits were of a cognitive nature, the goal was to get acquainted with the
activities of the Human Rights Defender's Office.
Ms.
Lusine Nahapetyan, Head of the Shirak sub-division of the Human Rights
Defender's Office, presented the history of the Office, the Defender's
functions, and the procedure for applying to the Defender.
The
meeting was held in a Q&A format: the students raised a number of issues of
practical importance to them.
Meetings
with students from educational institutions and representatives of
non-governmental organizations at the Human Rights Defender’s Office, including
in the regional sub-divisions, are ongoing.
