On August 15, 2025, the regular online session of the
Public Council on the Protection of Children's Rights adjunct to the Human
Rights Defender as well as the Working Group under to the Council was held.
During the session, inter alia, issues related to the
child's right to preschool and general education were also discussed. The
members of the Council and the Working Group presented the relevent problems in
the field and proposed possible solutions from their perspectives.
Special attention was paid to the current legal
regulations concerning the age of a child’s enrolment in general education,
regarding which the children discussed the existing problems and
recommendations for their solution.
Upcoming programs and activities to be implemented with
the participation of the Council have been outlined.
