Within
the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on October 22, 2024,
between the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and the Danish
Institute for Human Rights, a number of joint initiatives and programs have
been planned to promote equality and eliminate discrimination.
Among
these, Human Rights Defender's Office of the Republic of Armenia and the Danish
Institute for Human Rights have initiated a joint initiative, within the
framework of which it is planned to conduct a national survey to assess public
perceptions and attitudes towards discrimination in Armenia.
The
mentioned initiative supports the processes of human rights protection and
legal reforms in Armenia, as well as is aimed at promoting the process of
adopting the Law "On Ensuring Equality and Protection from
Discrimination".
In
order to implement this important initiative, Danish Institute for Human Rights
invites qualified national experts or consultancy groups to develop and
implement the national survey.
The
deadline to apply for conducting the survey is August 8, 2025. Further details,
including information on how to apply, can be found in the official
announcement by the Danish Institute for Human Rights, available at this link.
The
initiative is funded by Danish Institute for Human Rights within the framework
of cooperation with the Human Rights Defender's Office of the Republic of
Armenia.
It
should be recalled that the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the
Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and the Danish Institute for
Human Rights is a format of cooperation that aims to promote communication
between the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and the Danish
Institute for Human Rights, experience exchange for capacity development and to
improve the efforts of both institutions in promoting and protecting human
rights.
