On
June 20, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit
Manasyan, received Mr. Vilen Gabrielyan, President of "Gardman-Shirvan-
Nakhijevan" Pan-Armenian Union.
Welcoming
the guest, Ms. Anahit Manasyan emphasized the importance of cooperation with
civil society in matters concerning the protection of the rights of refugees,
asylum seekers, and forcibly displaced persons.
The
Defender noted that protecting the rights of the above-mentioned groups is one
of the important directions of her work. It is carried out both through daily
work activities, as well as through annual reports and ad hoc reports,
cooperation with international and domestic structures, awareness-raising
events, and raising sectoral problems in other formats.
The
interlocutors outlined directions of cooperation.
Mr.
Vilen Gabrielyan, in turn, thanked the Defender for the reception and
productive discussion.
