On May 23, the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of
Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan, participated in the event titled “Luminous Flight
of Silence” dedicated to the “Last Bell” of the students of the “Yerevan
Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Disorders” SNCO.
The graduates of the educational complex presented a
concert program and a performance. The young people were congratulated by their
favorite artists with their performances.
Congratulating the graduates, the Defender noted that
knowledge is the most valuable and irreplaceable wealth of a person, thanks to
which it is possible to achieve great goals. She emphasized the right of every
person to equal participation in all spheres of public life, emphasizing the
need for effective social inclusion and ensuring real opportunities.
Ms. Anahit Manasyan emphasized the key role of the state
as a guarantor of the formation of conditions that will allow people with
different characteristics to fully realize their right to live independently
and be involved in the community.
“We all have our characteristics, but we live in the same
environment and face similar challenges. It is important to create an
environment where the characteristics of each person will become a driving
force for solidarity, mutual understanding and joint development,” the Defender
noted.
Defender Ms. Anahit Manasyan emphasized the equal
participation of people with different characteristics in educational,
cultural, social and other processes, as well as the support of society in
ensuring this participation, not only respecting diversity, but also
encouraging it.
