The
Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Anahit Manasyan visited
the “Tshakhruk” Cultural Centre NGO, located on the premises of the Kharberd
Specialized Orphanage. The visit was dedicated to the birthday celebration of
four members of the "Tshakhruk" Ethno Band.
The
event was also attended by Ms. Marina Ghazaryan and Mr. Tigran Parsilyan, members
of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of
the National Assembly, as well as representatives of the Human Rights
Defender’s Office.
Ms.
Anna and Ms. Anahit Mkhitaryan are the founders and directors of the band.
At
the end of the celebration, the Defender and the guests presented gifts to the
birthday celebrants.
"Every
person, by giving love and warmth, contributes to the positive transformation
of the environment. Dear “Tshakhruk” members, your activity is all about
bringing love and warmth to our environment. I feel this every time I
communicate with you," said Ms. Manasyan.
The
protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and children are under
the direct attention of the Human Rights Defender Ms. Anahit Manasyan. She also
underscores the importance of state support in promoting the creative potential
of persons with disabilities.
