On February 20, participants of the Human Rights Winter
School visited the Constitutional Court of Armenia.
The 25 law students, selected through a competitive
process, met with the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Arman
Dilanyan.
During the meeting, Mr. Dilanyan introduced the
participants to the structure, functions, and decision-making process of the
Constitutional Court, as well as other relevant details about its activities.
In a Q&A session, students had the opportunity to raise
their questions related to the field and address them to the the President of
the Constitutional Court.
It should be noted that the Winter School program
includes visits to various State Agencies, meetings with high-ranking
officials, and discussions with leading experts in the field.
The Human Rights Winter School was organized at the
initiative of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia in
cooperation with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Armenia Office.
The Winter School is implemented within the framework of
the program "Promotion of Human Rights Protection and Strengthening of
National Institutions" funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP, UNICEF
and UNFPA.
