From February 17 to 18, Human Rights Defender Ms. Anahit
Manasyan participated in the final meeting of the current members of the Board
of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) and the
Board session in Brussels.
During the meeting, participants discussed, among other
topics, the network’s ongoing and upcoming activities, achievements, the
development of a new strategic plan for the Board, and various human
rights-related issues.
Ms. Anahit Manasyan emphasized her commitment to be
actively engaged in the work of the European Network of National Human Rights
Institutions aimed at protecting fundamental rights.
Let's recall that, based on the results of the voting
held within the framework of the ENNHRI’s General Assembly on February 7, 2024,
Anahit Manasyan was elected a a Board Member of the European Network of
National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI).
This marks the first time that the institution of the
Human Rights Defender of Armenia has been included in the governance body of
the European network.
