The
events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Human Rights Defender’s
Institution are ongoing. On December 25, a ceremony summarizing the activities
of the Defender’s Office for 2024 and an awards ceremony took place at the
Charles Aznavour Cultural Center of Yerevan State University.
The
Defender Ms. Anahit Manasyan delivered a welcoming speech: “Today, the Human
Rights Defender’s Office is a well-established institution, where all Human
Rights Defenders and representatives of the staff of the institution from the
past 20 years have contributed to forming its enduring traditions. This
institution is a large family, and each member approaches their work as a
mission. I am grateful for your tireless dedication and commitment.”
All
former Human Rights Defenders were invited to the celebratory event.
Ms.
Kristinne Grigoryan gave a speech, and Karen Andreasyan’s well-wishes were
conveyed. The event was also attended by Mr. Armen Harutyunyan’s son, Mr.
Alexander Harutyunyan.
As
part of the awards ceremony, Anahit Manasyan presented personalized souvenirs
and certificates of appreciation to the staff. Former leaders and employees of
the institution were also given commemorative gifts.
During
the event, a film dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Human Rights
Defender’s Institution was screened.
The
evening concluded with congratulatory and appreciative remarks from both
current and former members of the staff.
