Vinnikov, Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia, and Arkadiusz Legiec,
Political Officer at the office.
Welcoming
the guests, Anahit Manasyan outlined her main areas of activities and discussed
the challenges in the field of human rights protection in Armenia.
The
Defender addressed the forcibly displacement from Nagorno-Karabakh in 2023, as
well as the efforts undertaken by her and her staff during those days. She

forcibly displaced from their homes and subjected to inhumane suffering remain
unaddressed.
During
the conversation, the Defender also touched upon her visits to regions and the
human rights initiatives carried out within their framework.
The
meeting further included discussions on issues related to the protection and
promotion of human rights in the armed forces.
Anahit
Manasyan also highlighted the current challenges in ensuring equality and
combating discrimination in Armenia. In this context, she stressed the
unacceptable scale of hate speech, discrimination, and intolerance in the
Republic of Armenia and the importance of efforts being made to combat these
issues.
Alexander
Vinnikov expressed his gratitude to the Defender for the meeting and emphasized
the crucial role of the institution in fulfilling its mission to protect human
rights.
