On July 26, the video was published on the Internet, where it is depicted how a kindergarten employee uses physical violence against a child. On behalf of the Human Rights Defender, an investigation was immediately initiated.
The Staff of the Human Rights Defender contacted immediately the representatives of competent bodies, in order to take the necessary measures in connection with the incident.
The best interest of a child, his/her rights protection are the main priorities of the Human Rights Defender.
The Defender emphasizes that the state has a responsibility to undertake necessary and sufficient measures to guarantee the protection of the child from violence.
Based on the best interests of a child, the Defender urges not to distribute the video appeared on social media, to refrain from publishing the personally identifiable information.
