On May 31, the visit of the Human Rights Defender Anahit
Manasyan to the disaster zone of Lori province started.
Accompanied by the representatives of the Defender’s
Office, a tour was conducted in the places affected by floods. The Defender met
with the residents to get acquainted with the problems related to rights on the
spot.
Ms. Manasyan, together with Minister of Territorial
Administration and Infrastructures Mr. Gnel Sanosyan and more than 40
diplomatic representatives accredited to Armenia, got aquatinted to the damaged
districts in the disaster zone, held private interviews with citizens, and
listened to the issues raised by them.
