On May 20, the members of the public council on the
rights of children and young people adjunct to the Defender were hosted by the
National Assembly.
Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, MPs of the
National Assembly, as well as representatives of HRD staff took part in the
meeting.
Council members presented the priorities and directions
of their activity, addressed the issues related to children's rights, providing
alternative care, providing an accessible environment for children with
disabilities, preventing, identifying and responding to bullying in schools.
Within the framework of the visit, the council members
toured the premises of the National Assembly library and museum, got acquainted
with the history of the National Assembly building.
The Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan emphasizes the
active participation of children and young people in the process of protecting
their rights and making decisions.
