We should be able to respect the characteristics of other
people and be tolerant towards each other: on May 14, the Human Rights Defender
Anahit Manasyan, accompanied by the staff representatives, visited the children
receiving alternative care in the "SOS Children's Villages" Armenian
charity foundation of Kotayk region.
Anahit Manasyan walked around the area, got acquainted
with the organization of child care, the state of ensuring rights, held private
conversations with children, and listened to their concerns.
"We should be able to respect the characteristics of
other people and be tolerant towards each other," Anahit Manasyan stated.
At the end of the visit, the Defender gave souvenirs to
the children.
From the viewpoint of ensuring the best interest of the
child, the Human Rights Defender strongly emphasizes the choice of such an
alternative care, that provides a family environment for the child and
guarantees the child's rights in the entire process of providing care, in the
case of the impossibility of providing care for the child in his or her
biological family due to various factors.
