On the evening of April 22, the hotline of the Human
Rights Defender received an alert that the French-Armenian journalist Leo
Nikolyan was not allowed to enter the territory of Armenia by border guards at
the "Zvartnots" airport.
The raised issue was discussed by phone with Leo
Nikolyan.
In addition, on the instructions of the Defender, a rapid
response group went to "Zvartnots" airport in order to see Leo
Nikolyan. A private conversation was held with the latter.
A corresponding letter has already been sent to the
competent state body with the request to provide clarifications regarding the
situation.
