On
April 17, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan received Sarah Forti, the
Director of the Human Rights, Neighbouring Countries and Asia Department of
theDanish Institute for Human Rights, and the chief advisor of the Department,
Paul Dalton.
Welcoming
the guests, the Defender referred to the existing issues in the field of human
rights education, socio-economic rights, protection of rights within criminal
proceedings, and a number of issues related to legal equality, prohibition of
discrimination and tolerance.
Anahit
Manasyan emphasized the need to organize the work by launching the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
At
the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness to continue and
further develop cooperation in the field of human rights protection.
