On April 11, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan
received Lilit Daneghyan-Bosler, Deputy Head of the Division of Cooperation
Programmes on Justice and Human Rights of the Council of Europe.
Welcoming the guests, Anahit Manasyan highly appreciated
the close cooperation formed with the Council of Europe, especially emphasizing
the important role of the programs of CoE in the development of the human
rights protection system in Armenia.
Reference was made to the importance of activities aimed
at developing the capacities of the staff of the Human Rights Defender with the
support of the CoE.
In her turn, Lilit Daneghyan-Bosler emphasized the role
of the Defender's Office in the implementation of the high mission of human
rights protection, expressing confidence in the continuous strengthening of
cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the participants highly
appreciated the level of long-term and effective cooperation between the
Defender's Office and the Council of Europe in the field of human rights
protection and outlined directions for expanding cooperation.
