On
February 14, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan received Larisa
Hovhannisyan, the founder and head of the "Teach for Armenia"
educational foundation and the representatives of the foundation.
During the meeting, the state of protection of
children's rights was discussed, especially the issues related to the
realization of the right to education. Anahit Manasyan stated that it is
important to implement various programs in educational institutions, the
purpose of which is to reveal the potential of children and use it effectively.
The Defender especially emphasized the importance of the programs implemented
in the regions and through innovative solutions.
Issues
related to the activities of the Public Council on Children and Youth Affairs
adjunct to the Human Rights Defender were also discussed.
The
guests, in turn, expressed their gratitude to the Defender for the warm
reception and for the effective discussion.
