The representatives of the Human Rights Defender
conducted an unannounced visit to the “Armavir” penitentiary institution of the
Ministry of Justice.
Private interviews have been carried out with persons
deprived of liberty.
A study of the ensuring the state of their rights, the
relevant documents and detention conditions has been conducted.
The registered issues have been discussed with the
administrations of the penitentiary institution and the medical staff of the
corresponding divisions of the criminal executive institution “Hospital for the
Convicted” (SNPO).
The results of the unannounced visit will be summarized
and appropriate letters will be forwarded to the competent authorities
regarding the recorded issues.
