On January 2, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan
started an examination of the fire that broke out in a trolley on Sebastia
Street in Yerevan at her initiative.
In order to obtain more detailed and complete information
about the case, as well as relevant clarifications, letters will be addressed
to the competent state authorities.
The Defender especially emphasizes that the case should
become a subject of a detailed examination not only to identify the persons
involved and call them to account, but also to exclude such accidents in the
future.
Let's remind that according to the information spread in
the media, on January 2, a fire broke out in a trolley registered in the
balance sheet of the Yerevan Municipality on Sebastia Street in Yerevan, after
which the trolley collided with the car of the Patrol Service. According to the
publication, one person was injured during the evacuation. The Human Rights
Defender wishes the latter a speedy recovery.
