Dear
compatriots,
Dear
Colleagues,
I
congratulate you on Human Rights Day.
Every
year on December 10, the entire international community celebrates Human Rights
Day. 75 years ago today, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights.
The
international Human Rights Day is another occasion to emphasize that a person
is the highest value, and his/her inalienable dignity is the inseparable basis
of his/her rights and freedoms.
Respect
for human rights is the driving force that unites us all and promotes public
solidarity.
The
Human Rights Defender's Office constantly strives to establish this culture of
respect through its activities, guided by the high mission of promoting and
protecting human rights.
I
would like to emphasize that overcoming the obstacles facing the protection of
rights requires our joint efforts.
In
this context, the duty of the state is to create mechanisms guaranteeing the
protection of human rights, and to constantly improve them, ensuring the
supremacy of law and rights-based values, which is extremely important.
December
10, as the international Human Rights Day, is also a reminder that the
protection of human rights requires systematic work, as a result of which it
will be possible to form a solidar and tolerant society.
Once
again, I congratulate you on this symbolic day.
