The
staff of the Human Rights Defender received information that several
participants of the protest action taking place near the permanent
representation of Nagorno Karabakh in Armenia were detained.
On the
instructions of the Defender, a rapid response group went to the Police
department of Arabkir.
At
the moment, the grounds and reasons for depriving them of their liberty as well
as the state of ensuring the rights of the given persons in the department are
being examined. private interviews are taking place.
The
Human Rights Defender calls for restraint and refraining from any manifestation
of violence.
