Today,
on September 30, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan held meetings with
forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh in Vayk community of Vayots
Dzor region.
The
Defender conducted fact-finding activities on the spot as well as collected
detailed information. In particular, conversations were held with forcibly
displaced persons, and the issues related to their registration, food, medical
care, hygiene provision as well as provision of accommodation and issues
requiring primary solutions were examined in the registration center located in
Vayk.
Many
issues have been discussed with the competent state bodies in order to find the
necessary solutions.
Forcibly
displaced persons were also provided with counseling on rights protection.
Anahit
Manasyan reaffirmed her willingness to be consistent with the issues raised
within the framework of her mandate and stated that they will be under special
attention on a daily basis: an individual approach will be taken to the proper
realization of everyone's rights.
The
forcibly displaced persons presented to the Defender the most serious human
rights problems that appeared as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression in
their place of residence.
The
fact-finding activities are ongoing in the context of the protection of the
rights of forcibly displaced people.
