Today, on September 24, during the unannounced visit to the
"Abovyan" and "Nubarashen" penitentiary institutions, the
representatives of the Human Rights Defender’s office met with persons detained
during protests in different parts of Yerevan, including two minors.
Private
conversations were held with them, the state of ensuring their rights, as well
as necessary documents and the conditions of detention were examined. The representatives
of the Human Rights Defender’s office discussed the problems recorded as a
result of the visits with the representatives of competent state bodies. An
agreement was reached on providing prompt solutions to the problems.
