On September 16, a video was published on the Internet, showing
how kindergarten employees abuse children. In response to this incident, the
Human Rights Defender's office promptly started an examination on the
initiative of the Defender.
The representatives of the Human Rights Defender's office
immediately contacted the representatives of the police of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs in order to take necessary steps regarding the incident.
The best interest of the child and the protection of his/her
rights are among the priorities of the Human Rights Defender.
The Defender underscores that the State bears a fundamental
obligation to implement all the necessary and sufficient measures to ensure the
protection of children from any form of violence."
Considering the paramount importance of the best interest of the
child, the Defender urges not to spread the video that appeared on social
networks, refraining from publishing the personal information identifying the
child.
