On August 31, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan
participated in the induction session organized by the European Network of
National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) in Oslo. An exchange of information
and experience was held between the heads of the ombudsman institutions at the
event.
The mandate and principles of the European Network of
National Human Rights Institutions were presented to the participants in
detail.
Anahit Manasyan expressed her gratitude for the invitation
and highly appreciated the role of the network in the field of human rights
protection.
The objective is to establish a platform for newly elected
heads of ombudsman institutions, with the primary aim of fostering multilateral
cooperation in the sphere of human rights protection. This initiative takes
into consideration the unique mission and responsibilities of the Human Rights
Defender.
