young people,
I
congratulate you from the bottom of my heart on the International Youth Day.
One
of the cornerstones of the development of any country is the youth, in
particular, the intelligent, educated, proactive, determined, and active youth,
whose rights must be guaranteed by the country.
It's
essential to acknowledge the potential of youth, furthermore, they should be
involved in decision-making processes.
In
the Republic of Armenia, the participation of young people in various spheres
of public life should be promoted with greater energy. I consistently
prioritize matters concerning the youth, placing their issues at the forefront
of my attention.
A
prominent example is the Council on the Rights of Children and Youth adjunct to
the Human Rights Defender, the goals and objectives of which are to support the
Defender in the development of cooperation with children and youth, to
contribute to the raising of issues regarding the protection of their rights.
I am
sure that the creators of our future are the hardworking, educated and
professional youth, who should be given ample opportunities for
self-expression."
