On
August 12, the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan participated in the 3rd
annual international festival of the national music of people with special needs
"Chakhruk".
The
event with the motto "Physical possibilities are worth nothing without a
soaring soul", the founders of which are the musician sisters Anna and
Anahit Mkhitaryans, was held in Gyumri at “Vardanants” Square. This year, for
the first time, groups of people with special needs and individual performers
from Kazakhstan and all specialized orphanages, care centers, and special
educational complexes of Armenia participated in the festival.
Anahit
Manasyan surprised the guests and participants of the festival by performing
the song "Come, my nightingale" (“Ari im sokhak”) on stage with
people having special needs.
This
year, instead of creating the symbolic "a soaring soul" canvas of
"Chakhruk”, all participants of the festival painted on the sculpture of
the eye։ there was also an exhibition of "aman-chaman" clay dishes made
by the children of the band.
"Everything
that is not transferred is lost. It also applies to our emotions and feelings,
first of all, to the transmission of love itself. We must be able to love and
convey the love in our hearts to each other.
Moreover,
it is important to love each other, with respecting the characteristics of each
of us as it makes us perfect in our individuality. I want to note that
"Chakhruk" is about love, about our characteristics and our
perfection and most importantly, about the ability not to lose our feelings and
to convey them. All of this I learned also on my way with "Chakhruk".
Let's
love each other, just love a lot! And the most important thing in life is to
have a soaring soul " stated Anahit Manasyan.
The
Defender emphasized the necessity of support in promoting the creative
potential of people with special needs at the state level. She also stressed
that she will always stand by the family of "Chakhruk" to the best of
her ability.
