"Today,
on August 6, information was spread on social media that a group of children
with disabilities who arrived from Vanadzor to Yerevan were denied entry to the
"Water World" entertainment center without justification.
The
Defender immediately instructed the staff to deal with the above-mentioned
issue. Necessary measures are being taken to find out the causes of the
situation.
The
Human Rights Defender attaches great importance to the exclusion of any
discriminatory treatment towards persons with disabilities and the provision of
equal opportunities for all members of society.
This
case is under the direct attention of the Defender. The staff will issue an
additional statement regarding the matter."
