to the publications in the media, on July 3 2022, an open session of the
Supreme Judicial Council was held to publish the decision on the issue of
subjecting the judge to disciplinary responsibility which had been rendered
during a closed session. Journalists were prohibited from entering the session
hall. At the same time, a separate room was set aside for journalists in the
administrative building of the Supreme Judicial Council to watch the live
broadcast from the meeting hall.
As a
result of the study and monitoring of the publications and international
experience, problems were raised, and in order to overcome them,

The
defender especially emphasizes: only in the conditions of the presence of a
proper culture of interaction between the judiciary and journalists it is
possible to fully guarantee the transparency and public accountability of the
activities of the judiciary, as well as the unhindered implementation of
journalistic activities and the normal functioning of state bodies.
