The Human
Rights Defender
emphasizes the creation of affordable and accessible conditions for persons
with disabilities and the capacity building for the staff. For this purpose, a training course on sign language was organized by the Human
Rights Defender’s office in
cooperation with UNICEF Armenia.
The members of the public council on the rights of
children and young people and the employees of the Human
Rights Defender’s office are
participating.
Within the framework of the course, the participants are
given the knowledge of communicating with people having hearing impairment.
The classes which started on July 1 are conducted in online format and will last for 3
months. Face-to-face meetings are also planned.
