Today, on June 19, the representatives of the Human Rights
Defender visited the "Nubarashen" penitentiary institution and had a
private conversation with Armen Ashotyan.
The representatives got acquainted with his health condition
and conditions of detention on the spot.
Armen Ashotyan did not complain about the attitude of the
administration of the detention center, as well as the detention conditions.
In relation to the initiated criminal proceedings and
selected preventive detention A. Ashotyan presented his concerns and position.
The results of the visit will be summarized and a
corresponding letter will be sent to the General Prosecutor's Office of RA with
the request to provide the necessary clarifications.
