On December 15, 2022, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Human Rights Defender’s Office and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, which is based in Lund, Sweden.
The memorandum was signed by Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan, The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, and Ms. Zuzana Zalanova, Director of the Europe Office of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute. Mr. Josh Ounsted, Head of the Thematic Area ‘Access to Justice’ of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, also participated in the meeting.
The main goal of the cooperation is to contribute to the improvement and more effective application of human rights legislation and standards in the Republic of Armenia.
The parties agreed to continue working on the possibility of joint and mutually beneficial initiatives.
