On July 8, a training themed “Organization of crisis support for cases of domestic violence based on the principles of a gender-sensitive approach” was conducted for the Office of the Human Rights Defender.
The training was conducted within the framework of the “EU4GenderEquality: Reform Helpdesk" Programme, which is aimed at developing the capacities of the representatives of the Office of the Human Rights Defender in handling cases of domestic violence, and in particular in the process of providing counseling on the hotline of the Human Rights Defender.
The training themed “Organization of crisis support for cases of domestic violence based on the principles of a gender-sensitive approach” was aimed at understanding the issue of domestic violence from the point of view of power and authority (gender inequality), for the purpose of responding to incidents properly and for the effective organizing of the crisis support provided to persons.
One of the aims of the training was the discussion of the principles of a gender-sensitive approach to the organization of support. The training was conducted by Ms. Siranush Davtyan, a psychologist specializing in domestic violence.
The training was concluded by a question and answer session and by the detailed analysis of concrete and specific cases.
